Do you ever scroll through classroom photos and think I wish I could do that in my classroom? There are some beautiful classrooms out there, but I teach a special education class. My students can be distructive and can destroy things… not to mention they don’t do well with lots of visual distractions. That’s a lot to deal with! Here are 3 tips that work really well in my special education classroom.
My go to is a light weight curtain rod, command hooks and twist ties. Check it out:
I only use the twist ties if my rod is going to hang in a spot that gets a lot of traffic. I could only find white twist ties, so we just colored them with a black marker to help them camouflage them. If you have trouble finding black fabric try using a black bed sheet set. All together, my fabric, rods and hooks were less than $15.
