It is that time of the year where everyone is sick of doing the same thing day in and day out….same desk, same materials, same concepts, etc. Time to kick up the FUN factor!
I used shaving cream to work on number concepts, but you could do it with any concept you are targeting.
Next we worked on making sets by adding the appropriate amount of circles next to the number.
Somehow I missed getting a picture (sorry!), but we also practiced adding. Students had to copy the equation from the board, make the sets and add them up.
After we were all done practicing the skills I was targeting, students were allowed to play in the shaving cream for about 3 minutes. They loved it!
