I love it when I find an idea or activity that carries over skills from math or reading. I found this Pin from The First Grade Parade and knew I had to do it in my class. Aren’t they adorable?!?!
Most of my kiddos are just starting to work on word problems, so I printed out the bottom problem and gave them each different numbers depending on their abilities. We worked on first making a set of snowflakes for the first number and then another set for the second number. Finally, students counted all of the snowflakes they made and wrote that number on the bottom line.
Such a cute craftivity!!
